I have been exploring the book format as a means to display sequences of images in print. My own handmade paper has inclusions such as string, silk and wire. These elements extend the page edges and blend with the fine lines of the printed image.
I have also been using worn, torn materials to incorporate into book form.
I have used proofs of coloured lino prints and collaged them into small books, the sequence of colours and shapes creating new visual ‘stories’.
Some of my own handmade paper is very fine and delicate and I have proofed carborundum prints on it. Binding odd, assorted page sizes into a book reveal dark, new spaces between the pages.
